Year 6 attend a service at St Mary’s Church, Windgate.

Once a year, we try and take Year 6 to an outdoor service at St Mary’s Windgate (the Old church at the end of Coe Lane).

We missed Ascension Day as it was during our half term break – so we celebrated the Mass of Corpus Christi this morning with Fr Mark and Fr Joe.

We met our friends from Tarleton Mere Brow CE Primary School at the church – and after the service gave the children a quick tour of the Church and a look around the graveyard.

Thank you to Doris Ascroft who walked with us – and gave us the statistic that there are an estimated 4,000 graves in the graveyard!!
